Microsoft developed Windows 10 Lite operating system, a small version that actually runs on mobile chips
According to sources, since the beginning of this year Microsoft has started to develop a shortened version of Windows 10 for tablet, tablet hybrid laptop and other lightweight laptop models. This operating system is codenamed Polaris.
And recently, the official name of the operating system has been revealed by technology journalist Brad Sams. It will be called Windows 10 Lite and will be a direct competitor to Google's Chrome OS. Windows Lite will be a really lightweight operating system that removes most of the functionality, only running Progressive Web Apps (PWA) and Windows Universal (UWP) applications.
