Samsung released Android 4.4 update, does not support Galaxy S3

Samsung's top devices like Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 version) will all be updated to Android 4.4.

Samsung's team in the US has just announced a list of devices that will receive Android 4.4 KitKat updates in the near future. Unfortunately, those names don't have Galaxy S3, although the phablet released in the same year as the Note 2 is still on the list. The reason given is because S3 only has 1GB of RAM.

Millions of Galaxy S3 users will be disappointed with this.

However, that is not the main reason. Among the updated devices, the Galaxy Grand only has 1GB of RAM but is still supported. In addition, KitKat is optimized by Google to be able to run well on devices with RAM of 512MB or more.
